EDIT2: Alright, very common consensus agrees. It's more than likely a Relic type item (a very fresh spin on it I might add). Can't wait to see how it works. That things' got some Dakka written on it, can't wait to see what the Super can do. Also added some profanity-safe bits.
EDIT3: New theory saying Exotic Heavy Special/Primary... Not too sure I'm inclined to believe this one. That said back to the theory of 2TIDE many are noticing it may be a portion of the Walker's main cannon.
EDIT4: Not a Titan Super sadly, the Hunter behind him's toting one too. I suspect third Subclasses sometime around Comet/following expansions.
EDIT5: I've seen multiple lads/ladies mention when Deej stopped shy of the last weapon on the Monarchy's screen: http://i.imgur.com/MGx9P6B.jpg, not to pop the balloons that's just the updated Admonisher icon. Datto can't get it right everytime. Also, in regards to the location being Winter's Lair I'd say the Sword of Crota mission comes to mind in regards to testing and playing with Relics before they're gamechangers.

Addressing edit 5, watch the stream again. He highlights over the new monarchy weapons and misses what I believe to be the new sniper.

I don't think it's a new type of gun but sorta like a relic. If you look closely you can see that on the titans helmet their is a red symbol. If you look closely at the hunter their is that same symbol. Knowing this I say they are wearing some kind of set of armor. The gun also has the same color scheme as the armor. My guess is that this is something from the prison of elders. The gun is something you get from the awoken to go into the prison of elders. Like you are a guard and you are issued a specific uniform and a specific weapon.

4 RepliesIn case anyone didn't notice. During the stream when deej was scrolling over all of new monarchy's weapons he stopped short of one of them intentionally. He had already gone over the machine gun and rocket launcher but stopped right as he was about to highlight the last weapon. It could be something else entirely. This is just speculation.

Thats the ghorn 2.0. Cant tell ya much about it.. guy i worked with told me all about it when he went to bungie in seattle. Just told me what it did but refused to give me a name for it. It will make ghorn obsolete.

4 RepliesI doubt its a relic because of the background, its definitely the area you go through to get to the archon and the whats-his-face guy from the story mission, I think its a new weapon type ( or new exotic special/primary slot heavy ), and datto made a good point about this in his HoW reveal video. Basically he pointed out that Deej looked at all the new vendor weapons except for one and the weapon from the image could be that.
