Probably NBA since I don't like hockey. Both of them are shit though since you play a multiple game series in order to milk more money out of it

What separates the regular season from the playoffs is they play the game and make adjustments. Different match ups, coaches try different sets, etc. how many Super Bowls were shit because one team had an off night. When you have 2 teams going back and forth in a series I find it way more engaging. Of course typically the first round lacks this as you have higher seeds killing lower seeds.

They play series because it's easy to win a game by fluke in either sport.

One and done games are way more intense and it allows for great Cinderella runs. For example NFL and NCAA basketball

I don't really care about Cinderellas, I want to see the best teams play against each other. What about last year's KC Royals in baseball? Seven game series, and they still had a Cinderella team.

Cinderellas are the best. March Madness probably has the best examples. I don't care about baseball either
