Honestly, that thing is probably not worth it unless you use it as a wake up attack after knocking someone down.

It makes the same sound as Emit Force when you start casting it, so you can't even act like you're healing then surprise them. Usually does around 800-1000 damage though (with Dragon Chime and 50 Faith), but it's purely lightning damage, so Great Magic Barrier or a Watcher's Shield will render it pretty much useless.

It's not as OP as it was when Dark Souls 2 was first released but I still wrecks people pretty hard.
