That hallway just leads to a bonfire and that's about it. There are two ways you can go from where your at in the game now. 1 From the Last giant elevator run straight go backtrack the way you came run past two spear guys, run right and there is a door that leads to the next boss, defeat it and there's a nest on right. 2. Go back to Majula BF and run towards the tents and keep going back, you'll see an entrance there, if you keep on going you'll find a locked gate which can be opened in the same area by a pull down lever, two bosses also leads to next area.
