Terms of service say that they can change anything at any time for any reason. You had to agree to them in order to play the game. It doesn't matter what they said before. I agree that it's kind of shady and doesn't offer the consumer any protection whatsoever, but all games with live content updates have the same clause in their ToS to protect themselves if they can't deliver
