To all the douchebags who say "if you don't like America you can leave", one of the great things about America is the right and DUTY of its citizens to have their own opinion and speak it.
What you want is not an American ideal. It's a douche sentiment. I was born in the United States. I live in the United States. I hate our government. That is my right as an American to state. If you don't like my right to speak my opinion it seems YOU are living in the wrong country.

Amen. I love my countrymen. Olive the history of our young nation. I do not love the current state of our nations Government. I'm often victimized for having a different view and told to "leave". By that same mindset women wouldn't have the right to vote and black men would still be slaves.

The idea and the principle it was founded upon are the best way things can be done with a functional economy. But the system is now corrupted and everything is about power and wealth and more power and more wealth. That's the only reason a politician does anything in the end. That's the problem. When things like huge corporations, powerful special interest groups and unions get the ear of the "representative" by stuffing their pockets, whatever good ideals or moral credibility they originally had is done and they're just one more whore for the buying. Gotta fund the agenda sonehow. Still, even in its current state, I'll take our broken capitalism over all the alternatives.

Man, I love visiting Canada. Many many beautiful areas. I don't agree with everything your government does as well, but a man looking for a perfect anything will always be searching eh.

And yes I labeled you a nut job because any rationally person would not make a blanket statement about the "government". A rational person would say something like "I do not like the current administration's stance on foreign policy". A child would say I hate the governmemt.

Please state one thing there is to like about the U.S. government in this day and age. The attempts at redistributing wealth? The botched universal health care program? The over extending arm of our military? The spying on civilians? The ease of living on the government cheese? The ridiculous incarceration rate? The lack of a single reliable politician? Please name one redeeming quality.

I am not an Obama fan in fact I voted for Romney. These problems have always existed and are not unique to Obama.

Nope. Because I'm not violent. Do you agree with incarceration rates in the U.S.? Do you agree with all the scandal in politics? Do you agree with bipartisanship? That a nation of many many diverse backgrounds and ideologies are sorted into only two major parties? A nation constantly involved in military conflict? Over criminalization of non violent crimes? My god, if you love our government you must be blind.

I am not blind, I have a laundry list of bullshit I object to. I also have a long list of things I am in favor of. What I wILill not do is make a blanket statement condemning every politician and all the good things that our government made possible. You want to act the fool and make stupid blanket comments then I will have fun winding you up.

Yeah clan is fitting. But seriously "hate" sucks. It is also inflammatory. There is nothing that can be accomplished when your believe is so negative. If you were to concede that not all people and policies in our government are worthy of hatred I would show you respect other wise you are part of the problem in my eyes.

Tell me don't partake. I know quite a few anti goverment potheads and they all sound just like you. They even use the same phase "over criminalization on non violent crimes" (smoking weed). Not that big of a deal in my opinion. Who really cares is someone wants to smoke a joint. Currently the law of the land outlaws it so If you go to jail you have no one to blame but yourself. I fact if it was legal in my state I would be smoking it right now, but I have a family and a career I would rather not lose to smoke a little weed.
