There's is nothing exciting about the Borderlands universe. The games are great, but very shallow.

While the bosses and beasts in BL may seem absolutely unfathomably strong, consider what you're working with. The weapons in BL, how they work, and what the Boss tech and Health are based off of are vastly inferior to Destiny's total scifi take on technology, space magic, and general scale in regards to the depth of the lore behind the means. Atheon for example is the/is a conductor of an absolutely immense trans-dimensional network that spans beyond the Sol System and some would argue beyond our Galaxy. Unlike Hyperius who is guarded by four over-specd Loaders with shield generators. The weapons from the BL universe put on full display the downward slope Humanity has observed, manufactured parts from inferior components with crude tech from the 21st century with the rare add-on like the Hornet or Ele-tech. Where as the Destiny universe takes a very strong stance in regards to quality vs quantity. Weapons featuring scifi concepts like barrels suspended in null Grav all laced with programmable matter and more make for a very strong point, and that's just the Uncommon gear. Based on the lore of the systems and general result and means of the respective games' I've gotta go with the world that simply has more going for it.

Oh my god you idiot the bosses in Destiny are just bullet sponges with no character to them borderlands is much more open world vs destiny's enclosed spaces. The weapons in borderlands are more interesting with actually useful elemental powers (except for nightfall I will give destiny that) And everyone knows that borderlands story is 100 times better than Destiny And you never get bored in borderlands even without doc (which you are forced to buy to continue having fun in destiny)

"TO CLARIFY: this ISNT asking what's the better game, or what is more addicting, I'm asking who would win in a all out war, who has better weaponry, fighting, leaders, etc" -OP Understanding this, go back and read my comment. I'm inclined to agree with four of your points (the odd-man out being the story which I personally found quite unsatisfactory in BL, on-par to Destiny given what all getting to the end of BL 2's story entails vs the like-a-band-aid side on Destiny that reveals the awaited grindfest.) and especially your general views on the two games when pitted against each-other on a "which is better" discussion.
