Hold on we saw vegeta destroy planets before he was a super saiyan and goku is far stronger right soooooo..... why not just instant transmission everywhere and blow up the planets?

Actually goku is not far stronger than Vegeta. In battle of Gods Vegeta became stronger than goku when lord beerus hit bulma. Whis in the new movie from what I have read says that both are incredibly strong but both have major weaknesses. But when they work together they are unstoppable.

At that point Vegeta was much stronger than goku. Goku used the kaioken to boost his power level to beat Vegeta.

Well considering he would never do that. Plus Vegeta never blew up planets before going super saiyan or after.
