Yes this is a rant and cry post so back out now if these annoy you. While reading this keep in mind the only exotic weapon I am missing is Gjallarhorn. Earlier this week I was helping out with a VOG HM run and we were at the Templar, nobody really wanted to use the relic so I volunteered for it. We got through the Templar just fine and proceeded down to the Exotic chest. We all open it up, mainly shard and energy or the occasional class item popped up but then in yellow text I see Gjallarhorn pop up. Unfortunately it wasn't me that got it but I congratulated the person who got it anyways and we proceeded to finish up the rest of the VOG run. A couple nights ago I had a raid group of five attempting to kill Crota on Hard. I was Swordbearing with my warlock so it wasn't the easiest character to do it with but it was working. On like our 5th or 6th attempt a random friend joined up right when we started it but we decided to just try to kill him with five people still and maybe that guy that joined would get a freebie (and boy did he). So we flawlessly run through Crota and kill him, all with high hopes of loot to come. I see that yellow text with Gjallarhorn pop up again, and it's not next to my name again, instead...you know the random guy that did literally NOTHING! He got the Gjallarhorn, I was slightly pissed but congratulated him and left pretty quickly after that. The third instance was today. I was helping a friend who has only been on Playstation for 3 days with the Nightfall. He is only level 27, had a rare primary weapon and rare secondary weapon, so he was basically useless in a sense (sorry but its true). I take him through the whole nightfall very patiently killing all the enemies. We get to the Archon and wipe him out then guess what pops up?? You guessed it F-ing GJALLAHORN!!! He's played on PS4 for all of like 12 hours and he already gets the gun that I just cannot seem to get with my thousands of hours (yes thousands so for you people that are going to look at my playtime and see it doesn't match up I've deleted characters in pursuit of Gjallarhorn) and playing on Playstation since day one! In sum I am just tired of making a great amount of effort towards this game and not being rewarded but instead seeing everyone else that doesn't do a damn thing get exactly what I am missing. It would be nice to see that yellow text saying Gjallarhorn right next to my name, but it seems like a myth to me by now. Screw you RNG !!!!!!
