I'm going to go ahead and assume you were probably in the Army.
You know, it sad to see that you are someone relied on to fight for a country that you believe so little in. You don't have to believe that America is the greatest country in the world, but their are thousands that have fought and died before you representing those colors that you seem to have little respect for. That flag represents way more than the people and laws that govern this country, but it represents the Constitution, the principles this country was founded on, and most importantly, the citizens. It really is a shame to see that you have completely lost sight of what the colors represent and why you may (hopefully) have been fighting for in the first place. Your discontent with the government ,media, or society does not define what the American flag represents.
I hope you're happy though. I hope you collected your signing bonus, use veterans benefits, maybe even the GI Bill, so you can sit a home and complain about the country that has provided you a living (which you chose), While you insult all of those that have fought and died honorably with respect for what they were fighting for.

Lol I didn't even wanna read your comment. No I'm not army or any kind of military. I would never serve for this country.
-
And I'm glad you don't with that attitude. We would not want you. Enjoy living here though.
-
And you assume incorrectly... on numerous counts. If you disagree with my opinion, more power to you. But to smear another man's character because you don't like something he said, in a country where FREEDOM OF SPEECH is supposed to be a founding principle? It seems as though you're missing a big part of the point there, sarge.
-
Nobody said you can't have an opinion. Is it not protected under freedom of speech that I have a response? Hmm... you really do seem lost. I can't seem to understand for the slightest reason why you decided to serve the country.
-
Because I have different views than you? Wow. And to think that I expected anything more from a jarhead. You keep fighting that fight, sarge.
-
There is a distinct difference between not like your government or the current state of the country and hating the country you served. You are the latter. You have stated how you don't like america. That is why I can't understand why you served.
-
That's interesting, I would've thought you'd have learned to read somewhere along the way. I'd love for you to show me where I said that I "don't like America". You clearly have your conservative narrative you'd like to push, to wrap it all up in a nice flag colored bow and ram it down or throats, but do us all a favor and knock it off with the lies.
-
Edited by Jim SWAT 01: 4/27/2015 9:52:36 PMFunny because I'm not conservative. You haven't said directly that you don't like America, but you've paint a very clear picture.
-
I have or I haven't? Your writing, much like your agenda, is sadly not entirely clear.
-
I edited to say "haven't." However, I probably wasted too much time on you in editing that. I'm just glad to know you are no longer in service of this country, with your cancerous attitude.
-
Of course. You blatantly lie and misrepresent what I've said... but I'm the cancerous one? Riiiiiiiiiight. Good luck with that narrative of yours, Sunshine.
-
Lol sure thing, bud.
-
I completely agree with everything you said Sergeant. I love my country deeply, but we have lost our ways in practice, and we need to get back to that. But, I won't be told that I should go live somewhere else just because I don't like the way things are. I try to make a difference in the lives of the people around me and that's the only thing I have control of.
-
I don't think you should be told that either, nor do I agree with the current state of the country on all issues. However, if we are to lose hope on all of our values and principles, how can we expect this country to improve. If people need inspiration or a reason to keep faith in their country, it will never help to see the people that have fought for it degrading what it has represented since it's independence.
-
Well, I really think we are on the same page about all of this. A lot of the replies seem to get placed in the wrong spots so maybe you thought I was going in at someone else. My initial post I legitimately wanted the person to provide the reasons they are proud. That wasn't me saying there is *nothing* to be proud of, I just wanted to see if they could provide a thought out response instead of just saying "you don't like it, then get out". Personally, I am proud of all the people that try to make an actual difference instead of just saying "well it's bad everywhere so why should I even try?"
-
Zing! You just made my Monday.
-
Awwww... does somebody have a case of the Mondays?
-
Lame troll is lame...
-
And angry little conservative is angry. What's your point, Sparky?
-
Wow, you really are terrible at trolling. Muted.

Take your ball and go home, little one. Next time, bring a bit more to the thread than piggybacking on others posts. Otherwise, just move along junior.
