I'm about to buy DS2: SoTFS, just im a dark souls virgin. Can someone recommend a good starting class for me? Thanks

Just remember that the class is just the base of whatever you want your character to be later in the game. Your starting class does not define your play-style, so branch out. Personally, I made myself a Cleric-Warrior: High strength and Dexterity with high faith. All hail Lightening Spear! Also lighting infused weapons scale with faith, so level that up if you decide to use the Heide Knight Sword.

In this game u die alot (found out the hard way) so I strongly recommend the class wich have the highest health (knight I believe) and get a bastard sword=that shit is some badass shit

Same here and I started as a swordsman. A lot of people were telling me to start as a warrior though because you start with a shield

STR build, because it's the easiest build to work with and understand if you're new to the franchise. Only 4 stats you need to worry about is VGR, END, VIT and STR. Find yourself a decent sword and a medium/large shield.

DS2: SoTFS is a very bad dropping point for someone who's never played the games before... Good luck. Shield is your best friend.
