I love Borderlands, but its more off a comedic universe from what I see, nothing is taken seriously and everyone is sarcastic much of the time.
Destiny is more mysterious, and I just love a good mystery.

They took all that content out so it becomes a mystery as to what the -blam!- you are doing

Watch as it gets put back in starting with Comet... While the grimoire is a pain to access the story contained within has depth.
