The Athonians, all of them Blanks, quickly storm the ship, putting every remaining Necromorph to the torch. Soon, they reach the Marker and plant Melta charges across its surface. The massive stone is soon completely destroyed. The Athonians return home, their lack of a psychic presence shielding them from the horrors faced by their fellow Guardsmen who faced the horde, drinking and singing as they return to their barracks for nightly poker games.
