I say destiny for the more serious players, borderlands for people who like to have a good laugh now and then. Borderlands has more variety to weapons but grinding the same boss for those legendaries gets old real fast. As for destiny you can get your exotics/legendary guns in more ways then one (excluding thorn, bad juju etc.) so i feel that gets old less faster then borderlands. I really like both games though and put a lot of time into them lol
