Because that's the worst fix I've seen since Taylor vs Cesar Chavez.
I get that you wanted to show off "exciting" matches and get TW''s team to 7 to buy gear, but it was horrible play.
I can't imagine your in house team were that bad and if they were trying, put in matchmaking right now because 3 randoms could smoke both those teams.
Seriously though, no matches are going to play out like those.
1) Everyone ignored dead enemies and left them to be respawned.
2) No one used the map to their advantage at all, it was just a clusterf**k.
3) No one camped. People camp.
4) Speaking of camping... In actual matches, the dead will be camped religiously and reviving will be way more suicidal.
My favorite part of the games was in the second go-round when the all Bungie team had TW's team down to 2 vs 1 and the dude pops his bubble randomly by the right entrance. What was that?
Then of course no one was near his teammates so he could go revive them both.
How about if you're up 2 vs 1, you pop your bubble on top of their dead teammate(s)?
Revive that, bitches.
And come on, how many times did your in house team just jump around not shooting back as they let the TWs get the final kill.
I'm not saying the trials won't be fun, but I think your presentation was kinda crap and I think not having matchmaking is crap.
Now pay attention because this is the most important part of my feedback.
At the very least, you need to have a normal crucible version of ToO for normal crucible drops. It wouldn't have the game win/loss tracker and it would have level advantages disabled like normal Control, etc. Just one-off matches of first team to 5.
That would at least allow people to experience and practice the game mode and maps until they get a fireteam together.
And by having a regular matchmade version, people will be able to make friends to move to the actual Trials with.
How this isn't already thought of and announced as part of your plans absolutely boggles my mind.
It's so f***ing simple, if you want to leave the majority of your player base out of something, give them a lesser version.
It's right there... normal control/Iron Banner. It's not rocket science.
