Then how do you explain people like me who are logical almost to the point of being robotic, who are educated, I'm an engineer, and still believe in a power higher than us?

-
Answer this: Is there anything wrong with having an inkling toward an opinion, yet not having to go all the way as to its scientific justification?
-
As long as you understand that its unfounded.
-
No I'm Christian, I just don't go around shoving it down people's throats.
-
Edited by Britton: 4/30/2015 4:17:43 PMFair enough. I was christian for about 15 years
-
Then you never were (1 John 2:19).
-
No, I certainly was. You can't tell me what I did and didn't believe.
-
That's what the Bible says that it's followers believe.
-
Right. And I was a follower and I did believe. But I do not anymore.
-
I am the same way, I believe that a higher power is possible, just not religion. If you believe in religion fine by me, everyone has a belief even atheists (I see tons of people claim that atheism isn't a belief, but believing that there is no deity is still a belief as we will never know for sure)
-
Well atheism is the absence of belief, however to not know or not care is agnosticism
-
Well whats your exact stance, are you a Christian, Catholic, or do you just believe in a higher power but not identify with a specific religion?
-
Catholics are NOT Christians.
