You can be banned for AFKing a strike if you set your controller upside down or use a rubber band (or any such device) to avoid idle detection. Their ban policy says one possible reason for a ban is:
Using an external program or device to automate gameplay or circumvent idle detection
It also says you may not be fully banned from Destiny, but from the specific activity you were violating the policy in. (Aka banned from strikes, but you can still do raids/missions/crucible.)
My only question is how do you report it more specifically? The in-game reporting system doesn't have options for specific policy violations that should result in a ban/restriction.

Edited by o_SHADOWFAX_o: 5/1/2015 5:46:18 PMSo despite the stuff that REALLY needs attention with this game, they're now worried about players who simply sit-it-out during strikes. :-) Nice But here's my thing, in the 7 years to make and develop this game, no one with even a pinch of common sense ever posed such a question, when they were coming up with their REWARD THE LESSER GAMER RNG bullshit? YOU F'king MONKEYS CREATED THIS PROBLEM! Lol I've seen people show up at the end of a VoG raid (LITERALLY JUST 10 SECONDS LEFT TO GO IN THE MATCH) and that person got Vex and a few other treats. While others who started the mission got nothing. Why wouldn't those Gjally hungry guardians sit things out? Can these idiots get any more stupid? I mean really,....
