In order for something to be OP, it needs to be alone at the top.
TLW can kill faster than Thorn.
Hawkmoon can kill faster than Thorn
Red Death can kill just as fast as Thorn (and acts as a fairly reliable counter to it)
There are a few others that need not be mentioned with equal or faster TTK's.
If there are a majority of people using it, then use something that stops it in it's tracks. If you're too set in your ways to use something else, then the fault lies with you. It's not me flaming you, either. I'm just tired of hearing/seeing "Nerf" thrown around when it's not necessary.
The original Vex was OP. As of now, nothing is.

Show me where I said that smart guy. I said an OP weapon by definition had to be alone at the top. Thorn is not alone up there. Hell, it's not even the best! Something that's OP can't be shut down, but I'll counter your "Thorn is OP" argument with 2 words: Red Death.

Then that's on you. If every gun was the same, this would be Halo. The whole idea of bringing your own weapons into a PvP environment is what makes the Crucible fun. You get to choose your own loadout and you can change it on the fly. If you want to use a weapon that will continually get you out shot instead of being smart and using something to counter what's coming at you then it's your problem, not that of the weapon. Stop using a Khvostov and pick up an exotic.

First you say switch to thorn if you want to have a chance of competing then you said that what was fun was being able to bring any gear into crucible to use. Which one is it?
