I'm a Christian and I have to disagree. How long would it take for a animal to evolve? I know for a fact it doesn't evolve in 20 years.

Take a look at bacteria. Immunity to antibiotics is evolution that occurs over a very, very short time. Notice how there's a new flu vaccine every year? That's because the flu evolves to beat the old vaccine. These diseases reproduce much faster than animals, so they evolve faster.
