It's a destiny reference. On one of the strikes (archon priest one, forgot the name) ghost says [quote]do you think they'd mind if we take their pikes?[/quote] (pikes are essentially fallen scooters/bikes/land ships) pikes are much faster than most taxis and most land vehicles
