Well, the wife just went to bed, but I'm not tired yet, so, time for an experiment. I'm going to try using my PS Vita to remote play a little Crucible, on the last night of Iron Banner. I'll do my best to keep out of the way, get as many assists as I can, and stay alive. Hope I don't -blam- up anyone's matches too badly, I'll be jumping from random to random match so nobody has to put up with me more than once. This is really a test of how the PSV works for Crucible play. I'm not expecting much, but you never know.
I'll keep you informed.
EDIT:
This went better than expected, actually. 2 of 3 matches were wins.
RUSTED LANDS: Sucked. Screen is too small to see the enemy at any kind of range. I had a few captures, 0 kills 0 assists. However, the team somehow won.
BURNING SHRINE: I get the hang of this, plus the tight map helps. I was actually #2 in the leaderboard for quite a while! The other team pulled it out at the last moment because I couldn't get the grenade and melee commands to work reliably.
SHORES OF TIME: It finally comes together, more or less, and I contribute fairly equally to a winning effort. Far from my best ever, but not my worst either. Having the Vex is helpful as always.
Conclusion: The experiment is not a failure, but it is not for serious crucible competitors either, nor for anyone looking to complete a strike without dying, Only do it if your console is out of reach for some reason. Signing off.
