Dinosaurs came from smaller reptiles. The tiny lizards had to fend off huge bugs. So, those that were able to survive reproduces and added their genes to the gene pool. Over time, that gene pool became full of genes to make the lizards bigger and stronger. The lizards grew larger over countless generations, until the tiny creatures became massive monsters.
