You can always tell when someone loses an argument, they have to mute and act like they are better than the other person
Nope, what actually happened here was you lost the argument. "These forums" are the Bungie forums, the Destiny section happens to be just one of the sub-sections. *this is the part where you attempt to exploit flimsy semantics to support your position, c'mon, it's gonna be fun, I can't wait*

  • Pretty funny that now tou come back after multiple people tried fighting your battle for you, all i have been saying is use better language, i dont think i lost that argument because i didnt have to resort to something as petty as muting, but you can view it however you want

  •
Pretty funny that now tou come back after multiple people tried fighting your battle for you,
It's almost like ... I live in another time zone and was sleeping. So crazy, huh?
all i have been saying is use better language
Saying "these forums" is completely fine. If you legitimately didn't understand that Bungie had been around long before Destiny, that's fine. But it's not up to me to lace every sentence with a history lesson.
i dont think i lost that argument because i didnt have to resort to something as petty as muting, but you can view it however you want
You lost before you were muted. You were muted because you tried so hard to latch on to a flimsy justification. But I know how it is with your kind; when someone walks away from a debate because their opponent's argument writhes on long after its demise, all you see is a straw on the ground. The straw, grab that straw son, it's your key to winning! You can still win this!

  • Ah more pettyness, why arent you walking away, do you just need to feel big and bad, trying to tell people to grasp straws and stereotyping, all i said was use better language, these forums in the specific destiny forum means destiny forums, not the bungie forums. But you will keep going on, probably saying something along the lines of oh now you have to be defensive because that straw isnt there anymore.

Hint: it's italicised.
these forums in the specific destiny forum means destiny forums
Prove it. That's just one possible interpretation of what 'these forums' means. It also happens to be the interpretation your entire argument is based on.
But you will keep going on, probably saying something along the lines of oh now you have to be defensive because that straw isnt there anymore.
You're right, I probably shouldn't kick a man while he's down. Are we done here, or do you require more evisceration?

  •
Prove it. That's just one possible interpretation of what 'these forums' means. Definition of this(in case you didn't know these are a plural of this), used as a pronoun. The specific thing would be the destiny forum, as it wouldn't make sense to say the thorn forum, and destiny forum is what this thread is in, therefore in this case these=destiny.

And by 'these' I certainly was pluralising the collection of forums that are the Bungie forums. I was not pluralising the threads within the specific destiny forum as they are not 'forums' but threads. I'm sorry you misunderstood me ... then subsequently concocted an elaborate argument to prove that you didn't misunderstand me and that I was at fault.

Considering I simply said you should use better language in your remark, I knew you meant the forums as a whole, but simply said what I did partly as a joke and partly saying that others could be serious. It wasn't until people said things calling me out that I defended my statement, seeing as people did not take it as jokingly as I intended. But I guess it's my fault that I didn't show it was a joke more. Moral of the story:Don't assume I don't understand you, it's not like your intelligence level is high anyways.

I give you a 6/10 for that dismount, you lost points for ending with a pretty poor insult. Have a nice life, mate.

  • Pretty funny that you would say that, you come into the argument, after it's over, and say to stop. That makes total sense

  • I replied quickly because I was on my phone watching youtube. I don't know if you noticed but everything was said and done when you added your two cents. You should probably stop, considering you look like a fool when everything was done

  • *sigh* ok I understand you were finished arguing. Sorry. but honestly, I was reading your conversation, and you really need to stop acting so superior to everyone else on the internet. I can tell you think you're smarter than everyone else, using big words and making sure you have no errors. I admit I didn't realize you were done, but I just have to say this: you come off as being quite arrogant. I'm not trying to insult you or anything I just want to tell you to try being a little nicer. These forums are supposed to be happy right? Why can't we all just get along?

  •
Can you take a hint at all? everyone else here already knows you lost this argument ages ago. Just stop trying.
That was the first thing you said, but you're gonna tell me to be a little nicer? You entered the argument, asked a rhetorical question, and told me to stop. I'm sorry pot. And if you looked through my comments you would notice I have plenty of grammatical errors, ones that I simply don't care enough about to fix or make sure they are right. But why is it a problem to not have errors? Is it suddenly bad to speak properly?

  • OK I guess I didn't make myself clear, I was wrong to post that comment. so sorry. guess I should listen to my own advice more huh? also I never said it was wrong to use grammar correctly. Maybe you're not super arrogant, but that's just the impression I got. The problem with the internet is that people (myself included) don't think before they say things, so everyone just comes off as self centered and mean. I wish everybody could just be supportive and nice. It gets a little annoying coning on to these forums just to get into petty arguments and never have a real discussion.

I almost never get into petty arguments, you just happened to come upon the exception. It was an argument, Im gonna sound arrogant the way I defend my argument. But if you happen upon these all the time(or are in them all the time) you are probably the problem. Im not trying to be rude(but im sure it will sound that way)

  • Bro........any argument on a video game is a petty argument lol. Says a lot about someone's social life when they try to talk all "etiquette" on a video game forum.

  • I didn't mean I'm constantly trying to argue with people, but sometimes you jut get sucked in, you know? I usually try to leave arguments most of the time because it's not worth my time waiting for someone to reply with something meaningless just so I can come up with something equally meaningless. In general though, the only true long conversations on these forums are just petty arguments which some people love to involve themselves in.

Yeah i understand, it has happened to everyone, i just tend to stay away from them to begin with, unless someone else starts it on my post(see above). Edit: I should clarify that last statement, i didnt mean to cause an argument, i just wanted to make a joke and some people took it a bit too serious, there was no intent to start an argument

  • You cant even make a satire a satire post without people having a fit about how it either isnt satire, people overuse the satire tag, or people having fits just to have fits
