Just think of the fleet that invaded reach... That was huge! Not to mention that wasn't a quarter of the covenant fleet. Then you add in all of the Spartans on harvest, the ones on reach are just a couple thousand right there. Plus all of the UNCS fleet and armies. Then we'll all of the halo rings...

There were only 900 Spartan-IIIs, and most of them died in suicide missions. There were 30-40 Spartan-IIs. Your numbers are a dramatic overestimate.

Have you considered the millions of years of Star Wars cannon. We are including the full universe here. So Star Wars has millions of years worth of ships, soldiers, and force wielders. The halo time line is not nearly as extensive.
