No accounting for taste...
When I was 10, SF2 had just been released and was the be all and end all of console/arcade gaming which is, maybe, why I have always thought it was better than MK.

I had sf 2 as a kid too. It's significantly easier to beat the MK. I had no problems beating street fighter. MK was a different story.
