Awesome, kids usually are better at video games. That's not the issue. I won't go so far as to say all kids are annoying but let's just say kids of that age and adults are in completely different stages in their lives. I for one just don't want to listen to them talk about their stage. I don't reckon that OP would be very excited if he and his friends were at the park playing basketball and I showed up, inserted myself in the game and then started talking about my day at work. The solution is easy.... Find a different group.
