Hi everyone I hope you're all well,
I'd like to ask you all, new and old members a question....what does the D.o.D mean to you? What in your eyes is it all about and what does it stand for in your opinion? :-)
When this started out back last July as a small idea in a thread that became this massive gathering of gaming fathers to me it stood for brotherhood, family, friendship, comradery. Over the past few months some of the things I've seen people do for eachother is unparallelled to any other group I've ever been in.
I've said this a thousand times before and will say it a thousand times to come but thank you to you all that have come together to join together as gaming dads and share experiences and some relaxed gaming with eachother you are amazing and have not only really changed my outlook on gaming going forward but I'm sure your own and other gaming fathers thoughts on gaming aswell.
So what does D.o.D mean to you?
As always till we meet in the stars guardians...

Dagnome here, founder and returning member of DoD Legends for the Xbox One. When I made the Legends group for the xbox community flying the DoD tag it meant a few things to me. I was creating a place where fathers could come and enjoy eachothers company while playing a game they enjoy playing. Being a member of DoD tells everyone that you have priorities, family and life come first and every member of DoD shares this common ideal. We are not a place for commercial or personal gain, we are not a place that makes gaming into a chore or a requirement. Dads of Destiny I feel, as a whole, needs some redirection in our thinking. Since returning, I have heard of and seen, some things that make me question if the DoD as a whole has forgotten their roots. I was in DoD when we were less than 100 members, before the big community spotlight, back when we held those values of being a father first above everything else. While I cannot speak for the rest of the DoD clans, I know that I will help keep DoD Legends down the path of our core DoD values. TLDR: DoD means being a father first, putting family and life before gaming and being part of a community that understands, supports, and enforces these ideals as a group.
