The Abandoned Camp

A note is tacked to the nearest wall
[i]It is over. All of our efforts have been broken apart. I no longer wish to lead. I am not worthy of leading this many people... Please, go elsewhere.[/i]
There is a piece of the note that is folded up

Near the note, there is a plaque placed on to the only remaining tree. It reads:
[spoiler][b]Here once stood a mighty place, a place to fight, a place to reconcile with friends and foes alike, a place to be free, to let creativity flow and fill the hallways with inventions, ideas, and the will to fight, the will to fight for what we thought was right. Fallen by many, it stood up time and time again, only to fall unto itself. "What stands must fall", and so it did, and it fell leaving a mark on the people who came, the people who we lost, and the people who we helped, supported most in their times of need. We left a mark, and it was a damn good one at that. Many have fallen, many have been lost, but we still moved forward until it came too much. But until the very end, we did what we did best: we fought. Our wills clashed until the end, and that is all I could ever ask for. Here once stood the mighty Dojo, the Dojo that was and always will be, my home.

The duel would start out regularly, with one person facing another. However... 2. During any time in the battle, a player can invoke a "switch", signalling their partner to switch out for them in the next reply to their opponent. Example: Bob: *fires arrows at Steve* Steve: *blocks arrows with shield* "Switch!" Bob: *runs at Steve and tries to stab him with sword* George (Steve's partner): *parries sword with spear* *begins fighting Bob* 3. Alright, let me water that down a little. There must be a singular battle going on at all times. Hence the "switch" system to clearly specify for when a partner can come in. Do not reply to the wrong post, or forget to reply. For example, do NOT: Steve: "Switch!" George: (replies to Steve's post) Bob: (replies to Steve's post) And them the battle would get confusing. You would do: Steve: "Switch!" Bob: (replies to Steve's post) George: (replies to Bob's post) Adding more rules as I go.[/spoiler]

6 Replies[b]The soldier arrives at Athena 6 in the Mars Colony and delivers the paper after multiple complications. Several Scouts return from The Dojo ruins, over 90% of The Dojo has been destroyed or killed. At the scene the smoke finally begins to filter out, collapsed buildings, ash, bodies, capsized vehicles, scorched earth, cracked ground, large craters and melted material permeate The Old Dojo. A strange Magnetic force in the center of the ruins pulls all this ash in debris in an orbit, creating a Maelstrom, the entire area is surrounded with Smoke and Ash, allowing no sunlight to get through. Technology seems to fail within the Maelstrom, it is absolutely black inside and the temperatures are very well below freezing. The Violent winds almost Killed the scouts before they even got near the ruins. Analysis shows they run at 300,000 Km/h and the debris in it just cuts and shatters whatever it touches. But the absolute strangest thing that tops it off, the recently returned scouts have been feeling sick. The Medical ward remnant has just diagnosed them with a never before virus, they do not know what is causing it, but it seems to be slightly altering organs. They are currently in quarantine.[/b]
