I loved farming when you could trade in for marks. Now you can't I am still sitting on about 1200 of each across 3 charecters. Don't forget to do the dailey missions as they give you materials for tje planet you are on. Also the 6 patrol mission bounties also give you mats for that planet as well. Other than that learn the routes and put music/movie on and embrace the grind. Also for motes pick up the eris bounty before doing the nightfall to net 3 motes per char per week.
