You can say this for almost any charity. In an ideal world people would always give to charity but in reality most people do because of sponsoring someone they know, because everyone else is doing it ( ice bucket challenge) or because they get something for it ( charity auctions, raffles etc) whilst you can turn your nose up at these charity drives and the people donating you can't say they havn't raised a lot of money
