Because I would have no idea what to do and just wouldn't want the job at all. Things that seem simple usually are actually complicated, like you try to fix a problem and you just end up making it worse or creating other worse problems. If I get to pick the vice president, maybe I'd make my dad vice president and then resign, I think he'd know what to do, more than I would anyway.
