NERF SHOULDER CHARGE.
I swear the shoulder charge is OP. Allow me to explain: I came across this Titan who seemed to be the best in the Crucible, like in the top 10 in the world. I wanted to see how good he was so I messaged him to 1v1 me. He gladly accepted it, so we went to Rumble. My god does he spam shoulder charge like a mofo. He uses it in close quarters, in the air, across the entire map, in my spawn point, you name it.
Shoulder charge needs to be fixed, it's literally broken and this dude is exploiting it.
If you want to know who this guy is, he apparently plays on all platforms and is a king on an island called Neverland, or whatever it's called.

Edit: Looks like I'm not the only one who experienced this. Glad they know what I had to go through.

4 RepliesI'm guessing you got hit with the catapult/shoulder charge combo. That takes quite a bit of skill and is not something not a lot of people can do. Hell there's probably only a handful of people out there who know strikers are the fastest class in the game.

I don't think it needs a damage nerf, but it needs a cool down. it's a one hit every time, & you can use it as many times as you want. sprinting or being in the air for 3 seconds is NOT a cool down. for something that's a one hit, it shouldn't be able to be used every 5 seconds literally.

Edited by Apex of War: 5/16/2015 6:17:05 PMI know this is a satire. But I occasionally still PvP with my Titan (my Lock is my PvP main now) and I find shoulder charge easily countered by shotguns. Simply put, you pop up on a radar as an incoming target and most people will switch to their shotguns immediately and blast you as you fly by whiffing them altogether. I am spec'd for it though because I find it as a maneuvering tool extremely effective.

If only we had a motion sensor of sorts to predict where those bastards were coming from... Also, the other classes should have this OP skill too. Like, okay, get this: how about instead of a melee, we'd get a [i]weapon[/i] that did massive amounts of damage at [i]close range[/i]? That way, Warlock /Hunters could also run straight into someone and kill them instantly. Balance! Bungie would never do that, tho... Titans are clearly their favorite class... Have you seen the new HOW Titan exotics? Much better than all the other classes' new stuff...

3 RepliesWhy nerf shoulder charge? I play titan and many times I've been killed in my shoulder charge animation by a shotgun wielder. Or by a person who has good aim and manages to kill me before I reach them. & vice versa when I see a titan running towards me.

2 RepliesI'm tired of these nerf this nerf that stuff. Almost every ability and gun has been deemed op by someone, when there is a counter ability or gun that can take care of the "OP" problem. First off, shoulder charge is harder than it looks. It takes good timing and puts you at risk for close quarter fights. Some maps have enough tight corners to make it more difficult. Sometimes i do well with it, other times I get shot gunned because people identified and exploited my tactics. The range of abilities and guns makes the battlefield diverse and ever changing. Even the vex myth that people say is OP has downsides with its rate of fire, low velocity, and high recoil, which takes skill to use. I've played with a level 5 against everything people have said is OP and still say this game does very well balancing it's RPG elements. It's a game of Rock Paper Scissors. Just because you chose rock and your opponent chose paper, doesn't mean the paper is OP. Just my two cents

I didn't read the post and I don't like the shoulder charge but as long as warlocks and hunters have blink, it's fair for titans to have it in my opinion.
