Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of making a replica prop of the Pocket Infinity from Destiny.
I'm making it as accurate as a can as far as the dimensions but i'm having a hard time
putting all the fine details on the gun.
I didn't find REAL good reference pictures that shows good details.
I was hoping someone from bungie could maybe hook me up with a better picture or accurate 3D model from the game.
I plan on 3D printing the parts, then sand them and finish them to then cast them in polyurethane resin.
as i said, it will be a fully functional replica and will shoot paintball.
let me know what you think and feel free to share any resources you have that could be useful to me.

-- EDIT --
I had a lot of questions about what marker i will be using and what my overall idea was so here it is,
-For my first version i plan on using a Tippmann A5 since i have one laying around
-Again for my first version since i'm using an A5, i will maintain the hopper feeding mechanism
for the air supply i will be using a remote line attached to a tank in my back.
-The marker i have is fully mecanical so the first version will only be able to fire single bullets at a time.
Right now I'm more into designing the Pocket Infinity than making a paintball marker.
When i'll be done editing the shape of the Pocket infinity in 3D,
it will then be easy to make the modifications necessary to incorporate another marker in it.
Again if anyone has any idea where i could find high res picture of the gun or a way to directly contact someone at Bungie that could help me with my project, it would be really appreciated.
Thanks for the interest you are having in my project ! i'll keep you informed of my progress.

i didn't have too much time lately to work on my drawing but here's the progress so far !

Dude that's pretty cool. If you're not dead set on the A5 Iv seen a lot of guys use Auto Mags for custom body kits.

Here's some progress i made
-
here's a little update on the handle, I've been adding as much detail as i could. right now i'm working on fitting the trigger mechanism in the handle.
-
Here is the reference image i'm using at the moment. and hopefully what it will look like when done

Reply for later

if, uh, it disappears after it's finished, it wasn't me

You should try making it fire in seven round bursts, like a fusion rifle. I have absolutely no idea how paintball guns work so I don't know if that's even possible

Edited by ScreamingMidgit: 5/15/2015 8:02:47 PMWould you post the finished product on here whenever you finish? I, and many others, would really like to see the final product. (-blam!-! Double Post)

Dunno if this will help but here's a 1920x1080 image of the weapon from one side without writing in front of it.

Your paintball buddies will be crying for a nerf so fast!

i had the idea to customize some real guns to look like destiny guns, but guns can be expensive. obviously you cant really do heavies, but i thought a bad juju, last word, thorn, p&t, red death and maybe an icebreaker were all possible and would look really cool. i could do my ar-15 to look like red death, and maybe my xd9 to look like a small last word, and my 10/22 to look like either P&T or icebreaker. the thought of painting my guns or gluing things to them makes me cringe though lol.

Have you decided what base marker, or at least firing mechanism, you are going to use? Are you planning to run a remote line to supply air, or are you trying to integrate that into the body of the marker? Are you going to have a hopper on it, or are you trying to utilize an internal magazine? You'll need to answer these questions in order to really get this project off the ground. Paintball marker modifications are fun, and there are lots of great examples on pbnation and the McCarter Brown forums, but you need to have a good working knowledge of the marker you are modifying in order to have any chance at success.

I'm really curious, how this ends up, is it going to be electronic?

Make a revolver into fatebringer
-
Haha this is so sick, replicate a TLW for backup
-
I don't think you can find a co2 or hpa tank small enough to fire a paintball unless you work it into the design.
