The entire point of etheric light is that you are forced to complete end game content in order to reach the highest level. If Xûr sold etheric light, you could have people who have never completed a nightfall, raid, trails, iron banner, or prison of elders, and still reach 34. That's not right. No he shouldn't sell it and no he will not. Bungie knows better than that. Saw your 3rd edit. Etheric light does now only drop at PoE at 34. But even if it did, then I'm fine with that too makes it that much more of a challenge to hit 34 if you had to beat it as a 32. That's why it's [b]end game[/b] content. It's not supposed to be a breeze.
