I have a Serious Problem
I have been playing destiny since it came out at least once a week,not as much as some players, but enough that I should have been able to do things at a reasonable rate right? Wrong. It took me until 1 month ago to finally attain level 30, and I got my second legendary Engram on the 16th (may 2015). Why can I never get anything? I played for 5 hours on Saturday morning bringing my total play time to nearly a whole week! All that I got was a rare Helmet I had in the past. I have tried methods I had seen online to assist with my unluckiness, but have gotten nowhere. I asked my friend to log into my account to play for me so get some treasure keys and ascendant materials, he played for 4 hours and grinded like a drunken prom goer, but didn't get jack shit! All I want to know is how when I played Crucible (which I am not the greatest at) for 3 hours and saw TWO people get the SAME Exotic and I earned nothing. Is there a way to fix this or am I just cursed and will explode if you get to close... This is really frustrating and is taking the fun out of Destiny for me.

If anyone has any insight it is welcome, please don't be rude because I have been putting up with this sort of luck since September... I was a level 15 with all Greens and didn't get a legendary until level 23.

Same for me. I play less than the 5 other friends I play with, and they all have far more Legendaries, Exotics, and materials than me.

Altogether you've played for less than two hundred hours which is nothing compared to most of the players in the game. If you want to rank up I'd say save up as many vanguard and crucible marks as you can. When the DLC drops do the nightfalls and weekly's. There is going to be a new item called etheric light which will get your gear to the highest level as long as it's legendary. Try to form a group to do the nightfalls and the prison of elders as that will drop good loot too. With the marks mentioned before you can buy gear that will get you to level 33. Ranking up a faction like the crucible/vanguard/newmonarchy will also give you a chance at gear. Finally, any legendary engrams you have will definitly turn into legendaries now. The best way to get them is either doing strikes or farming the treasure chests you get after killing the new wolve fallen events. Look up guides on them. Currently I'm getting two or three every hour which us better than it sounds like your getting Oh and they're increasing rewards for crucible
