Good story. But that cage is awfull. Get rid of it. If you love that dog then you would not cage her. Period...

It's good puppy training for controlling the home situation, but other than that if she gets older and still clings then obedience school it is!

She sleeps in my room with my wife and :) The kennel is for times when I'm doing things like pulling hot food out of the oven or vaccuming the house. She thinks of it as a second bed and will go lay down in it when she wants a nap and I'm busy around the house. We don't use it as a punishment, its her own special place for solitude. With 2 cats and a 7 year old the house is pretty busy.

I hope you leave the door open so she can walk if she needs to. An animal should not be locked up only to make thing easier for you. That is my opinion. She looks cute though. :)

Right there with you. The door to the yard is always open so she can roam. Way wife is also a stay at home mom so she gets lots of attention and exercise. They walk my son to and from school every day :) Its nice to know there are good pet conscious people out there.
