She sleeps in my room with my wife and :) The kennel is for times when I'm doing things like pulling hot food out of the oven or vaccuming the house. She thinks of it as a second bed and will go lay down in it when she wants a nap and I'm busy around the house. We don't use it as a punishment, its her own special place for solitude. With 2 cats and a 7 year old the house is pretty busy.
