Heard being 34 isn't much different on crota with the sword.
Not sure though.

You're a bit tougher, and since you're now a level ABOVE the enemies you do full damage to them. Don't know if that counts for Corta himself but it makes the adds he spawns a lot less annoying.

I agree with all of that. Just referring to damage with the sword, supposedly it's still the same.

It is. My usual raid group did Crota just after they'd finished up HoWs story and several runs of PoE, and our swordbearer was ALREADY 34 somehow...anyway, still took two swords.
