The reason I bring up this topic is because of people who want xur to sell the gjallarhorn. There is a huge argument for both sides, that it would break the game, or make the game easier. However, everybody who "earns it" doesn't really. I say this since you could run in circles the whole time, and still get it. Should destiny have drops based on effort or contribution to fireteam? Would this help or hurt the game? PLease let me know.

I think Bungie is getting it. I think that Vanilla Destiny was under the instruction of a psychologist who aimed to abuse slot machine addicts. TDB was a step in the direction of manipulating RNG so that you'd get newer rewards more often but I believe it only touched on TDB items, not Vanilla. HoW has removed armor drops and made it a vendor theme. There is still RNG reliance but they've not put a lock on it. Here's the problem, they've put that reaccess to RNG behind... More RNG. That's the downside. We're witnessing them learn. The problem is we're paying to watch them learn.
