People saying "old gen holding us back". SHUT UP You're telling me my PS3 can't handle an extra 20 guns in the vault? That's ridiculous. That is such an absurd excuse. Bungie simply does not want to give us more vault space, it has nothing to do with old gen. PS3 and 360 can handle a few extra pages of vault space. It literally is no problem at all. If my PS3 can handle all the new content that just came out in HoW, it can handle extra vault space

  • 512 MB of RAM (PS3) vs 8 GB of RAM (PS4). I'm pretty sure that's a big difference in how much information each machine can process. They had to sacrifice weapon comparisons in order for the vault space to work.

  • An extra page of vault space is not that much. I can buy 20 new games right now and my PS3 can handle every single one of them. And you're telling me it can't handle 20 extra weapons in one game? Get outta here

Hard drive space and memory are different things. Sure you can store 20 games, but you can't run em all at once. That's what RAM is: the amount of information your computer can process at once.

I know. I am a programmer. That is a dumb excuse. Oh look, add another tab. Give us an open vault that we can store any item in. Why should I have 24 unused armor slots. Let me put anything there.

  • I am too. I do believe that memory is a problem. However, I believe it is only a problem because they've made it a problem. They have apparently not created the system as efficiently as they could have. I'm actually tempted to analyze the data usage through looking at packets and such and come up with why they think memory is an issue. And I want to find a solution. Like, a mathematical programming solution to this. Just like with the heavy ammo calculation, this is really not a difficult problem...

  • As a programmer myself, you also have to account for the limitations of the hardware. In that regard, the PS3 is much more underpowered than the PS4 and can't process as much information at once.
