Based on the flavor text I've seen. Warlocks are either frustrated by Hunters not taking the light seriously enough, or they are bullied by the hunters.

might be both...Hunters use the Warlocks' ghosts for target practice in the tower

Don't know about you but I don't use the ghosts....... I use the warlocks :P
