I don't think Adam and Eve existed because how would there offspring reproduce?

Because in the Bible, when Cain killed Abel, there were already other cities outside of Eden, or at least tribes upon which Cain built cities. It seemed like Adam and Eve may have been the first humans (or our common ancestor with apes, whatever you want to call them), but God may have created more elsewhere to see how they fare. Does that make sense?
