These guys are awesome... (Trials of Osiris)
I just completed my very first Flawless run of the Trials of Osiris less than an hour ago on my Warlock. Hadn't had any success recruiting randoms, so I post a thread on the forums begging for help from Flawless players.
A lot of random jerks gave me the usual "git gud scrub" BS, but a few guys actually said they were willing to help... and the one I ended up with? Turns out he and his friend have completed Flawless runs of the Trials of Osiris over a dozen times. Basically, after they did it on all of their characters, they went on to helping other players to complete flawless runs of the Trials; in fact, I think they went straight to helping another player right after they finished with me.
I don't know about you, but I think that is AWESOME, and incredibly selfless that these guys would spend their whole weekend just helping other players to beat Trials of Osiris. I'd give a proper shout-out to them, but there's that rule about not posting other player's gamertags on the forums...
Kudos to my new friends for helping me out. Couldn't have done it without you boys.

1 ReplyHelping and carrying are two very different things. I approve of helping which is where a decent pvp player just needs a solid team to play with for flawless and needs help. Carrying I disapprove of where a pve player or suck ass player in pvp sits in the back of the map.

Lol I am unashamed to say that I have never once gone flawless. I have no luck when it comes to ToO. I'm glad flawless wasn't a moment of triumph because frankly I'd probably never get it.

I'm hardly a trials veteran but I helped a couple of my friends who haven't gotten over 3 wins pick up 6 wins for some armor, they were pretty thankful. it's a good feeling. plus I ended up getting some goofy messages post game one time because I got 22 kills where my team got about 7 between both of them

I am absolutely horrendous at crucible though, and when I mean horrendous...i've been stuck on the thorn bounty for 3 months now and I'm still at 0 void kills in the crucible...highest I got it up to was 60. If anyone can help me out, I will be forever in your debt!!

I think that is awesome that players in this community are willing to help others less fortunate out. I am in a similar situation as yourself, I too am struggling to get even close to the armour which is all I wish for really. I am disgusted at the number of players trying to make money off the whole Trials of Osiris with carrying people through. Games are meant to be about helping others and meeting players from all around the world to achieve the same goal, to play and have fun at the same time. But to make money out of players that don't have the required skill to complete it. I feel that the Trials has put a number of players off PVP, I love Iron banner because even if I don't play well I can still achieve rank 5 each event, might take longer but still can get there. I feel Trials of Osiris is great but needs changing for the less fortunate players. By all means leave the exotic and Mercury visit to the only elite 9-0 players but maybe give the rest of us a chance at those weapons and armour. I don't care for the exotic banner and elemental primary weapons, I don't deserve them because I am not skilled enough to acquire them, that I can live with. Sorry for ranting on but these are my opinions, no one else's and just wanted to make them heard as there is some constructive criticism in there also. If you wish to make a remark to this then please do so in a kind and friendly manner.

you got super lucky I came across the same kind today he went 9 and 0 a good ten or so times and he helped me get to 6 and 0 but we lost but it was super cool meeting nice people that would help out like that

It is nice and very rare but me i wouldnt get carried of anyone i have pride. Flawless multiple times with friends.

The closest I have come was 4 wins..then we ran into some awesome guys. But hey.. I'll keep trying on ps3 ...I only know 2 flawless guys but they are usually busy..so back to the grind

Honestly, I can't be bothered. I like trials, I'm decent but once I've had my fill (that includes running with friends when I've already done mine) I just don't feel like doing it anymore. Am I a bad person? I could live with it.
