They also wanted drops I'm assuming, but that's still cool.

You really don't get any drops after the first run through except the end of match drops which are just watchers items (not special stuff). The packages and lighthouse stuff doesn't reward you over and over... they just did it cuz they were cool people.

It also drops the ship and class items which I want :P Both my team mates got the ship our last game lol. Really want it.

Yeah, I guess that's true although the drops are still pretty infrequent but I guess it's really the only way you can get it
