This actually reminds me of something I see [i]all the time[/i] with my father. He used to be a pilot and always got really annoyed whenever something about aviation is depicted inaccurately in something. He'd go on and on about how this or that wouldn't work and, unfortunately, he allows that to get in the way of the fact that whatever he's correcting is just entertainment.
I imagine it's a similar problem with [i]anyone[/i] who's fairly knowledgable about any particular subject. Like anyone with a PHD of some obscure science could go watch a movie and pick out all the things that aren't realistic, but personally I wouldn't find that to be a fun way to consume entertainment.
