We do have matter transportation, maybe the barrels of the top chamber then port to the "fireing" chamber meaning double the barrel length.
Also as far as I'm aware the mags simply contain glimmer and are esentually matter battery's where the rounds are assembled by the gun.
That would mean the designs could include the features. That dose basically fall under space magic though but it's in lore possible space magic.

All would be right with the world if the weapons were just mechanically aligned properly... every other BS pseudo-scientific answer is fine and dandy.

While the glimmer based ammo allows for a universal clip for all classes of weapons regardless of calibre. Not to mention more flexible weapon designs. Though clearly the viability of these things are suspect.
