We do have matter transportation, maybe the barrels of the top chamber then port to the "fireing" chamber meaning double the barrel length. Also as far as I'm aware the mags simply contain glimmer and are esentually matter battery's where the rounds are assembled by the gun. That would mean the designs could include the features. That dose basically fall under space magic though but it's in lore possible space magic.
