The Mythoclast is LITERALLY from some broken time paradox that got kicked into our world. I don't think it counts in this discussion since the guns we use are made in the City.

Basically, yeah. The counter-argument is something along the lines of "just because this impossible thing exists, doesn't mean that this other thing, which is possible, should be excused for looking impossible".
