NEW MEMBERS - This post is for you. (courtesy of EM_79 - thank you!)

There has been an influx of new members recently so I'd like to extend a hello and say "welcome to a warm and friendly Clan". We have all kinds here, from the casual to the hardcore. New members, head over to these sub groups to get the clan tag, as each one fills up we will add the next sub-group. You need to request to join the group and then request to enable the clan tag. Keep all chat and messages to this forum and wall. GMT2 - https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Forum/807233 GMT 3 - https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Forum/978986 Some advice: If you want to take part in Crota check out the Pricey raid post organising teams for every Tuesday. For VoG it's the post "Help a Brother Out" which goes up every Monday and has guided normal and hard runs from Wednesday to Sunday - any experience welcome. You can also follow me on Twitter @EM79DoD where I only post about the raid teams/last minute availability. The teams fill up quick! Iron Banner, if we have the IB emblem on means we are doing it and company is welcomed. Much more fun running a fireteam of people you know. PoE teams organised by Mark Fogg (fog101) - look for "PoE Party People" As to ToO check out the Trials Of Osiris Starter Kit threads going up weekly. We are a very welcoming bunch so if you want some company jump into the party chat and find out what's happening. You are always welcome to partake in that evenings activity, but it's nice to ask first before jumping into the fireteam in case someone is switching characters. If you want to organise something feel free to post and I'm sure some members will take you up, there's always someone online no matter the time. There is also a group that does the templar checkpoint to (try to) get the fatebringer. Our facebook site is here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dads-of-destiny-PS4-GMT/1389346161325989 .The Facebook page is up and running making it easier to post pics and videos. It's an open group, give it a like and join to show off what you've accomplished or just so post those silly in game moments (like titan dropping the tank boss on Mars for shiggles). I'm sure other members will have excellent advice to add so I'll add it to the main post. Once again welcome and enjoy never playing solo again.

I must say I probably wouldn't still be playing this game if I hadn't discovered this fine group of people. I only started playing the game in April and slogging my way up the levels solo was wearing me out. Luckily I discovered the DoD GMT clan a few weeks ago, and managed to get into a few raids and even IB with folks on the clan wall. People were very helpful and friendly especially as I was newer to the game and didn't know everything about it and didn't have all the gear (which is usually very intimidating while trying to get into raids in most of the other games I've played). It was like rediscovering the game all over again. And just when I thought it couldn't get any better than that, a fellow clan member pointed me toward the organized event threads on the clan forums, in particular the "help a brother out VoG" thread (which I've signed up for every week since then). I must say it's amazingly well organized (thank you Em and Kid) and the guides are all extremely patient and helpful with us newbies. My friends list has grown tremendously in the past few weeks and I rarely go a play night without grouping up with clan members. So I just wanted to say a great big thank you to all the clan organizers and the clan members that have made this game all the more enjoyable and a great place to de-stress after a long day at work (and after the wife & kids are asleep). And a word of advice to all the other new members, don't be afraid to sign up for any of the event threads be it raiding, PoE or crucible/IB as folks are very welcoming and supportive of new players.
