Making a game is like making a dish>>> You have to decide what you will be cooking, how you will cook it, what ingredients you will use, etc. The plot, time period, purpose, setting, etc. (THE MEAT DISH) are the basis of a game. The weapons, tools, abilities, etc. add to a game (THE SEASONING/METHOD OF COOKING/CONDIMENTS). Downloadable Content = Extra optional condiments. Also, what do melee weapons making a game great or "not as great" have to do with this? Call of Duty: - Some war during a certain era - Conspiracy stories - Arcade shooter - Earth - Realistic Destiny: - Future (plot) - MMO (Shared-world shooter) - Sci-Fi - RPG (Some elements) - Discovering what Humanity left behind and affecting what will happen to the remaining beings of the Solar System
